Sonja is the Showbiz Columnist at The Daily Star and is firmly establishing herself as the go-to-girl for all things showbiz. A self-confessed celebrity gossip addict, Sonja spends her time at A-List parties and events and has interviewed all the top names in the celebrity world, including Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lopez, Simon Cowell, Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole.

Her infectious personality, outstanding knowledge of celebrity culture and as Peter Andre put it ‘perfect face for TV’ means Sonja is great fun to have on any TV production and these skills have already earned her regular showbiz expert spots on many top entertainment and radio shows.

Originally from Essex, Sonja first wet her appetite for celebrity gossip and culture interviewing for the cult hit TV programme ‘Big Brother’ as the celebrity housemate correspondent for the Official website.

Sonja gained invaluable experience working for both MTV and then Emap, where she worked as the Mobile Producer on Heat Daily. Sonja continued to work in conjunction with Endemol, writing amusing editorial content before progressing to the role of Sub-Editor and involving herself in high-profile productions including 'The Match’ and ‘Comic Relief Does Fame Academy.’

Sonja later spent two years as a Celebrity, Pop & Film Editor for Virgin Media conducting filmed celebrity interviews and penning reviews on two of her biggest interests – music and film.

Sonja’s understanding of contemporary media and lifestyle lead her to joining the Daily Star, where after only six months as a freelance reporter she was offered the role of Deputy Showbiz Editor.
